Betsy's favorite Sugar Cookies
1 1/2 c. powder sugar
1 c. butter (softened)
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cream of tarter
Cream together powder sugar and butter. Mix dry ingredients separately. Mix egg and flavorings in sugar mixture. Add dry ingredients 1/2 cup at a time. Refrigerate 3 hours. Divide in 1/2 rollout 1/4 inch. Cut. Bake 375 degrees for 7-10 minutes. Store in plastic bags.
